SI Big 3 Join Forces with OpenAI... More Options for Enterprise ChatGPT
All Three Major Domestic SI Companies—Samsung SDS, LG CNS, and SK AX—Sign Partnership Agreements
The three major domestic system integration (SI) companies are forming partnerships with OpenAI, signaling an expansion of the enterprise generative artificial intelligence (AI) service market. This move reflects the growing demand for enterprise AI services, including ChatGPT Enterprise.
On May 15, SK AX announced that it had signed a service partner agreement with OpenAI for collaboration in the enterprise AI business. SK AX plans to provide AI environments tailored to each company's work environment and security requirements, based on ChatGPT Enterprise.
Previously, Samsung SDS became the first domestic company to sign a reseller partner agreement with OpenAI in December last year, while LG CNS also established a partnership with OpenAI earlier this year. Samsung SDS and LG CNS have secured the right to sell 'ChatGPT Edu,' an AI service for educational institutions. ChatGPT Edu is a dedicated service for educational organizations, offering features such as lecture material creation and personalized tutoring.
As a result, all three major domestic SI companies can now support the entire process—including consulting, technology, and operations—for companies seeking to introduce ChatGPT Enterprise into their work. Conversations between employees using ChatGPT Enterprise are not used for AI training, which eliminates the risk of corporate information leakage. Additionally, the service can be integrated with a company's internal systems or data, and existing individual ChatGPT users can easily adapt to the enterprise version.
However, there are some differences in detailed sales qualifications. Only Samsung SDS and LG CNS hold the reseller partner qualification that allows them to directly resell ChatGPT Enterprise to corporate clients. Even as a service partner, companies can provide consulting and technical support for the adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise, but cannot directly resell the service.
The reason major SI companies are entering partnerships for ChatGPT Enterprise is the expected significant growth of the enterprise AI market. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the enterprise AI market is projected to grow approximately 6.5-fold from USD 23.95 billion (about KRW 3.57 trillion) in 2024 to USD 155.21 billion (about KRW 23.165 trillion) by 2030. The average annual growth rate during this period is expected to reach 37.6%.

The number of companies using ChatGPT Enterprise is also increasing. According to OpenAI's "2025 Enterprise AI Status" report, the volume of ChatGPT Enterprise conversations last year surged about eightfold compared to the previous year, and users are saving an average of 40 to 60 minutes per day. Token consumption related to 'reasoning'—used to solve complex problems—also soared approximately 320 times, indicating that ChatGPT Enterprise is being utilized not only for simple tasks but also for highly complex work processes in companies.
