On May 14, at the La Dena Golf Club Nature·Garden Course (par 72) in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, she defeated last year's Player of the Year, Yoo Hyunjo, by one hole in the second match of Group 3 during the Doosan Match Play group stage of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, which has a total prize purse of 1 billion won.

Defending champion Lee Yewon secured a three-hole victory over Kim Woojeong in the second match of Group 5. With two wins, Lee Yewon will play her third match against Lee Chaeun (one win, one draw) to determine advancement to the round of 16.
Park Hyunkyung, the winner of the 2024 tournament, also won by two holes over Seo Eojin (two losses). With two wins, Park Hyunkyung will compete with Shin Dain (two wins) for a ticket to the round of 16.
Rookie Choi Jeongwon earned her second win by defeating Ji Hansol. She secured a one-hole victory with a birdie on the final 9th hole (par 4). Choi Jeongwon will face Hong Jinyoung (one win, one loss) in the third match.
