College Student Ambassador Content Released One After Another
SK hynix is rolling out a series of short-form content pieces that make semiconductor technologies such as HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) more accessible, with its college student ambassadors at the forefront.
In a recently released YouTube Shorts clip, HBM was uniquely explained by comparing it to a "boyfriend." The video introduced complex semiconductor concepts like the HBM 16-layer stacking technology and Through-Silicon Via (TSV) by relating them to dating scenarios, translating technical jargon into everyday language.
For example, in the video, there is a scene where the boyfriend stacks up malatang and hands it over, with the narration saying, "My boyfriend sometimes stacks up food like that and even gives me stacked malatang," followed by, "He says he can't be satisfied unless he stacks things up, whether it's memory or anything else," as a way to explain the HBM 16-layer stacking technology.
In addition, through various concepts such as "SK hynix Legendary HBM Chip Mukbang" and "Ideal Type Search for Semiconductor Majors," the company is presenting semiconductor technologies in ways that are easy to understand and relatable.
Through Instagram, SK hynix has also released an "SK hynix MBTI" test content. This test helps users find out which of the company’s main products—DRAM, NAND Flash, SSD, or HBM—best matches their own personality traits.
For example, in response to the question, "One hour before a project deadline, how do you react?" users can choose from options such as: open multiple tabs and multitask; organize file names and set up the saving structure; only open what is necessary and finish quickly; or use an AI tool to rapidly build the big picture.
If the test results indicate an SSD type, the explanation provided is, "You’re the type who gets things done with a strong rhythm, opening and finishing tasks without unnecessary delays," and "This is the type that best demonstrates perceived speed and execution ability."

Meanwhile, SK hynix recruited its college student ambassadors in January 2026, and they began their activities last month, with plans to continue until October 2026. The ambassadors are tasked with planning and producing a variety of content from a student’s perspective, focusing on SK hynix’s corporate culture, job roles, and technologies. Through these activities, they aim to act as a bridge, making SK hynix’s corporate story more approachable to the public.
