Reflecting on the past four years of city administration, Jung criticized, "The pledge to revoke logistics center permits was scrapped, and the promotion of the regional crematorium only deepened conflicts among citizens. Yangju's growth engine was nowhere to be seen, and it was a period filled with waiting and frustration."
He added, "Now is the time when the central government, National Assembly, and local government can move together to accelerate Yangju's development," emphasizing, "With the Lee Jaemyung administration and Justice Minister Jung Sungho working together, this is the golden time for Yangju's progress."
For his first core vision, Jung proposed establishing Yangju as the transportation hub of northern Gyeonggi. To achieve this, he pledged to increase direct subway connections and train frequency on Line 1, extend Line 3 from Jangheung to Baekseok and Gwangjeok, open Line 7 earlier than planned, promote the GTX-C line, construct the Seoul-Yangju Expressway, and expand new metropolitan bus routes.
He also unveiled plans to build a self-sufficient city based on advanced AI industries. He explained that anchor companies specializing in AI will be attracted to the Technovalley and Eunnam Industrial Complex, and a public-private-government investment promotion team will be established. In addition, he promised to supply youth housing near train stations and expand support for startups and job creation to make Yangju a city where young people choose to stay.
In the field of education, Jung announced plans to establish a new Yangju Office of Education, build new schools, operate free student shuttle buses, and strengthen AI digital skills, aiming to create a "prestigious educational city ideal for raising children."
For culture and tourism, he proposed building the Yangju Art Center, excavating and creating a historical park at Yangju Daemosanseong Fortress, and positioning Yangju as the cultural and tourism hub of northern Gyeonggi Province.
In the areas of healthcare and welfare, Jung pledged to establish an innovative public hospital, expand the Dalbit Children's Hospital, increase sports facilities and parking lots, create more jobs for middle-aged and older residents, and enhance welfare for vulnerable populations.
