During the meeting, participants discussed the operational realities of care sites, as well as policy proposals for improving staff treatment and enhancing the child care environment.
The Yongin Branch pointed out through its policy proposal that, despite the rapidly growing demand for care services, the treatment of on-site staff and facility support have not sufficiently kept pace. In particular, they suggested extending the working hours for part-time care teachers from the current 4 hours to 6 hours, and assigning additional staff during vacation periods to match increased care hours.
They also proposed assigning two care teachers to facilities with more than 30 children, expanding rest areas for staff, increasing the recognition rate for center directors' prior experience from the current 70% to 100%, and introducing a long-service allowance as part of broader measures to improve staff treatment.

Candidate Lee responded, "I believe there are many reasonable suggestions," adding, "As we plan to boldly invest in citizens by successfully executing the semiconductor project during the 9th popularly elected administration and thereby increasing tax revenue, I will positively review the proposed measures."
He continued, "To ensure that children, who are the future of Yongin, can grow up safely and happily, I will include strengthening support for care centers in my campaign pledges."
Currently, there are 28 Together Care Centers operating in Yongin City. With three more centers scheduled to open in June, a total of 31 centers will have 117 staff members providing care to 937 children.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Candidate Lee met with the executives of the Yongin City Daycare Center Association (President Myunggeum Lee) and stated that he would seek city-level support measures to alleviate difficulties in the childcare sector.
The Yongin City Daycare Center Association requested simplification of administrative work related to childcare and improvement of treatment for childcare staff.
Candidate Lee said, "If the semiconductor project currently underway in Yongin is successful, tax revenue will increase significantly, so I will boldly expand investment not only in daycare centers but also across all sectors of the citizenry."
On the spot, Candidate Lee called an official from the relevant city department and conveyed the need to consider digitizing administrative work and simplifying paperwork.
