Hana Bank Earns International Standard Certification for Energy Management System
Hana Bank announced on the 14th that it had received the international standard 'ISO 50001' certification for its energy management system from the Korean Standards Association (KSA).
ISO 50001 is an international standard guideline for energy management systems established and implemented by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It verifies whether systematic management processes are in place to set energy efficiency improvement goals and achieve them in response to global standards such as RE100.
In particular, Hana Bank was highly recognized for its ongoing efforts to practice sustainable management that contributes to the environment and society, and for recognizing the efficient use of energy as an important value in bank operations. The bank also received excellent evaluations for its advanced system for integrated management of energy and greenhouse gases, as well as its execution-focused energy-saving initiatives aimed at creating high-efficiency, environmentally friendly business sites.
