Yeoncheon County Produces and Sends Non-Tax Revenue Bills and Delinquency Notices in Foreign Languages
On May 11, Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has produced and sent out non-tax revenue delinquency notices and delinquency guidance documents in foreign languages. This initiative aims to help foreign taxpayers better understand their non-tax revenue obligations, improve payment convenience, and reduce language barriers, thereby facilitating their integration into the local community.

The county plans to use the initial dispatch of foreign-language delinquency guidance documents to prevent long-term delinquencies caused by language barriers, and to encourage voluntary payments from foreign residents, thereby enhancing both accessibility to and trust in the county’s tax administration.
Notably, the newly produced bills and guidance documents were not distributed as simple foreign-language leaflets, but were tailored in English to address each individual’s delinquency case. The front page also features a QR code that provides information on payment methods in three languages: English, Chinese, and Vietnamese. This approach allows foreign residents to easily understand and make payments. The county also plans to send local tax notices, including motor vehicle tax bills in June, in foreign languages.
