Oh Sehoon: "Jung Wonoh Brings Up Land Permit Zone to Cover Up Flimsy Real Estate Explanation"
"Willing to Participate in a One-on-One Debate Under Any Conditions"
Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party’s candidate for Seoul mayor, rebutted Jeong Won-oh, the Democratic Party candidate, over the issue of responsibility for lifting the land transaction permit zone designation in Jamsamdaechung (Jamsil, Samsung, Daechi, and Cheongdam-dong), saying, “He is bringing up the past removal and re-designation of the land transaction permit zone to explain the current real estate situation because he finds it difficult to justify with current circumstances.”
Speaking to reporters on May 11, right after the “Real Estate Hell Citizens’ Countermeasure Meeting” held in Guro-gu, Seoul, Oh stated, “The removal and re-designation of the Jamsamdaechung land transaction permit zone, which took place just before the presidential election in January 2025, only had a temporary impact on the real estate market at that time,” adding, “This is clearly shown in the charts from that period.”
He continued, “After the re-designation, housing prices dropped significantly, but following the launch of the Lee Jaemyung administration, prices surged again due to the 6·27 and 10·15 real estate measures.”

Oh also once again urged Jeong to agree to a one-on-one debate. “I propose a full-fledged one-on-one debate on all the major policies of the Seoul Metropolitan Government,” he said. “During the party primary, I told Assemblywoman Yoon Heesook that policy announcements should come first because at that time, the candidates had almost no concrete pledges. (Jeong) continues to use that as an excuse to avoid a one-on-one debate,” he pointed out.
