Inauguration of the People Power Party's Ulsan Campaign Committee on May 11
Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, emphasized conservative unity in Ulsan while campaigning in support of the June 3 local elections. In particular, Jang targeted Kim Sangwook, the Democratic Party candidate who left the People Power Party to run for Ulsan mayor, stating, "Show the cost of betraying the citizens with your votes."
At the People Power Party Ulsan City Committee's election committee launch event on May 11, Jang said, "This local election is a battle to protect Ulsan and to protect the Republic of Korea," and added, "If Ulsan's heart stops, the heart of the Korean economy will also weaken." He went on to mention the shipbuilding, automobile, and petrochemical industries, emphasizing, "This is a crucial moment for Ulsan to seek out new future industries."

In contrast, targeting Kim Sangwook, who left the People Power Party, he criticized, "Can we entrust the future of Ulsan to someone who sets fire to the boat he was riding with others and escapes alone on a lifeboat?" He continued, "In this election, show through your votes what it means to betray the citizens who elected you and to abandon the place you belonged to."
Jang also continued his criticism toward the Lee Jaemyung administration. He stated, "The prosecution has been dismantled, the police have become slaves to power, and even the judiciary has been taken over," arguing that, "This election is about defending the Republic of Korea's liberal democracy and the rule of law."
