Trump Says Iran’s Response Is Unacceptable: “I Don’t Like It”
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he cannot accept Iran's response to the ceasefire proposal.
On the 10th (local time), President Trump wrote on his social networking service, Truth Social, "I just read the response sent by Iran's so-called 'representatives.' I don't like it. I cannot accept it at all."
President Trump's remarks came after Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported that Iran had delivered its response to the U.S. ceasefire proposal to the intermediary country, Pakistan.
Previously, the United States had sent a proposal for a ceasefire to Iran. U.S. media outlet Axios, citing senior U.S. government officials, reported that the two sides are discussing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) consisting of 14 clauses.
Reportedly, the MOU is expected to include the suspension of Iran's uranium enrichment activities, the lifting of sanctions and frozen assets against Iran, and the removal of restrictions on passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
