Local media have reported that the Iranian military has seized a Barbados-flagged oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz.

The Ocean Koey is registered under the flag of Barbados, a Caribbean island nation located at the easternmost point of North America. Earlier this year, the vessel changed its name to Jin Li. According to a ship tracking website, the vessel was recently sailing in the Gulf of Oman.
