Buk-gu Gwangju Joins Hands with Indonesia to Support Overseas Expansion of Local Companies

On-Site Demonstrations Planned for Water Purification Systems and CCTV Technologies
Gwangju Buk-gu has joined hands with a local government in Indonesia to establish a strong foothold for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to enter the Southeast Asian market. Through this agreement, the district plans to carry out on-site demonstrations and commercialization of regionally specialized industries, such as water purification systems and security technologies.
According to Buk-gu on May 7, the district signed a "Business Agreement (MOU) to Support Companies Entering Indonesia" at 10 a.m. that day in the district office situation room, with Moon In, the mayor of Buk-gu, and Andi Abdullah Rahim, the head of Luwu Utara Regency in Indonesia, in attendance.

Five organizations and companies participated in the agreement, including Buk-gu, Luwu Utara Regency, Hyeonjin Enterprise, NH Networks, and the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation.
Under the agreement, Buk-gu will focus on providing administrative support for business activities, while Luwu Utara Regency will offer local demand sources for on-site demonstrations. Specifically, Hyeonjin Enterprise will conduct demonstrations of water purification systems to address drinking water shortages in small villages in Indonesia, and NH Networks will review cooperation plans in the field of CCTV-related technologies. The Gwangju Regional Headquarters of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation will support overseas expansion work and provide technical consulting.
Buk-gu plans to use this network as a stepping stone to further encourage local companies to enter the Indonesian market. In particular, during the upcoming schedule of the "Optical Convergence Trade Promotion Group," which will be dispatched to Indonesia on May 10, the district plans to visit Indonesia's Ministry of Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration to continue practical discussions on cooperation.
