According to HYBE on May 7, the Wicon Festival, set to be held on June 6-7 at KSPO DOME and 88 Jandi Madang in Seoul Olympic Park, will be divided into two sections: the outdoor Weverse Park and the indoor Weverse Con performances. This year, the festival aims to enhance the appeal of an urban outdoor festival experience for its audience.
Weverse Park will strengthen its identity as an outdoor music festival by upgrading both the stage setup and the performing lineup. A record number of 15 artist teams will perform at Weverse Park, representing half of the total 30 teams participating in the festival.
K-pop artists such as ILLIT, Apink, ENHYPEN, and ZICO, as well as rookie groups like AHYOON and NWL, will take the stage. Bands including LUCY and Touched, and J-pop groups such as AOEN and CUTIE STREET, will also participate. Singer-songwriters including Kwon Jinah, Yoon Sanha, Lee Changsub, Ha Hyunsang, and Hwang Minhyun are set to deliver emotionally resonant performances.
Weverse Park will run for a total of seven hours, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is structured as Weverse Park Day from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by Weverse Park Night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Weverse Park Night, which was introduced last year, will once again be held as an actual live performance this year, rather than a broadcast of the indoor show. All stages will feature all-live arrangements based on live band performances.
A variety of side events will also be available to encourage audience participation. There will be a photo booth for taking commemorative pictures in line with the festival theme and a keyring-making event using artist logos. Food and beverage (F&B) booths and audience rest zones will also be set up at the outdoor venue.
