BTS Busan Concert Sells Out All Tickets... Overseas Charts See Resurgence
World Tour 'ARIRANG' Sells Out in Japan, North America, and Europe
Big Hit Music announced on April 30 that all tickets for BTS's concert in Busan have sold out.
BTS will hold the "BTS World Tour ARIRANG in Busan" at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13. During the fan club (FC) membership presale conducted on NOL Ticket the previous day, all tickets for both dates were sold. The tour has seen sellouts in every location, beginning with three performances in Goyang as the first stop, and continuing through Japan, North America, and Europe.
BTS will return to the same stage for the first time in three years and eight months since the "2030 Busan World Expo Bid Support Concert" in October 2022. This venue was also where they held their last full-group performance before their military enlistment. Notably, June 13, the second day of the concert, marks the anniversary of the team's debut.
A city project connected to the concert will also be launched. From June 5 to 21, BTS will host a large-scale city project titled "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG" throughout Busan. The agency explained, "This project transforms the entire city into a cultural hub by reflecting the group's music and narrative in urban spaces."
The excitement over the tour is also reflected in BTS's resurgence on overseas music charts. According to the "Weekly Streaming Surge Ranking" (dated May 4) announced by Japan’s Oricon on this day, "Crystal Snow," a track from their eighth Japanese single released in 2017, claimed the first place. "MIC Drop," also released in the same year, ranked eighth. Big Hit Music stated, "This is due to their Tokyo Dome concerts held on April 17 and 18," adding, "An impromptu stage performance during the concert became a hot topic, leading to a sharp increase in music streaming."
