In his remarks, Lee diagnosed, "Osan now stands at a crossroads—will it rise as the central city of southern Gyeonggi Province, or remain an ordinary city surrounded by major metropolises?" He expressed a strong commitment to continue 'uninterrupted development' based on the achievements of the past four years.
The 'Gyeongbu Line railroad crossing road' construction site, chosen as the venue for the press conference, symbolizes the 'drive' Lee emphasizes. This project, which had been stalled for over 10 years as a long-standing local issue, was quickly launched after Lee took office by securing an additional 30 billion won in contributions from LH, bringing LH's total contribution to 53.8 billion won.
He stated, "The past four years have been the result of hands-on, action-oriented administration, not just words." He highlighted key accomplishments, including: ▲Re-designation of Segyo 3 New Town District ▲Acquisition of Segyo Terminal site and promotion of the North Osan Landmark ▲Negotiations for the development of a mixed-use commercial facility on the former Gyesung Paper Mill site ▲Designation and official announcement of the Unamttul AI City urban development project ▲Groundbreaking for the Gyeongbu Line railroad crossing road and early completion of Osan City Hall underpass on Dongbu-daero ▲Commencement of construction on the Yangsan-dong–National Route 1 connector and the Geumam–Jigot connector, among others ▲Confirmation of the GTX-C line extension to Osan ▲Introduction and expansion of new metropolitan bus routes to Seoul Station, Seongnam Pangyo, and Yatap, new intercity bus routes to Jamsil and East Seoul, as well as the introduction of limousine bus service to Gimpo Airport.
