The Korea Companion Plant Association is a non-profit corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, established to promote the culture of companion plants and to foster the development of related industries.
Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services will be responsible for selecting native plant species suitable for use as indoor companion plants and for developing technologies for indoor garden utilization, while the Korea Companion Plant Association will support commercialization and industry linkage based on its field experience and professional network.

The two organizations plan to discover plant resources and indoor garden models that are both well-suited to indoor environments and possess unique ecological value native to Korea by cooperating on the following: exchange of genetic resources for companion plants such as native species, evaluation of field adaptability and research on cultivation characteristics, promotion of joint research related to companion plants, and the practical application of research results in the field.
