Kaohsiung Metro (Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation), like Airport Railroad, is a railway operator established through a private investment project. It operates three lines and 77 stations throughout Kaohsiung, which is Taiwan's second-largest city and its largest port city. As a leading urban railway corporation in the region, it manages the Red Line connecting Kaohsiung International Airport to downtown, as well as Taiwan's first light rail transit (LRT) system.
With this agreement, the two organizations plan to ▲promote cross-marketing using online and offline media ▲pursue joint collaboration projects to expand demand ▲and advance exchange and cooperation in management, operations, and technology. Through these efforts, they aim to boost the competitiveness of railway operations, enhance passenger convenience, and invigorate tourism-related connections.

Following the signing of business agreements with Taoyuan Metro in 2023 and Taipei Metro in 2025, this partnership with Kaohsiung Metro establishes a collaborative framework encompassing both the northern and southern regions of Taiwan.
Airport Railroad plans to continue expanding exchanges and cooperation with overseas railway operators and further strengthen its role as the "gateway railroad of Korea" connecting Korea with the world.
Akgon Yang, Chairman of Kaohsiung Metro, stated, "There is much that Kaohsiung Metro can learn from Airport Railroad's adoption of smart technology and efficient operations. I look forward to this collaboration taking cross-border cooperation between our companies to a new level."
