CancerEdu is an online platform that provides a range of interactive educational content for cancer patients—such as exercise programs and emotional support—through extended reality (XR) and internet browsers.

The XR content consists of seven types: endoscope cleaning education, stoma care, diaphragmatic breathing, upper limb movement exercises, camping, healing videos, and an education center. These can be experienced using a head-mounted display (HMD) for virtual or augmented reality. Those who wish to use the XR content can apply for an on-site experience at the National Cancer Center or regional cancer centers and participate according to the scheduled dates.

Web-based content, which can be accessed at home without time or location constraints, is comprised of three types: motion recognition home exercise, healthy table settings, and a popup gallery. Anyone can use these by simply visiting the CancerEdu homepage, with no separate membership registration required.

Lee Jungkyu, Director of Public Health Policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, stated, "Through CancerEdu, we have established a foundation to provide diverse cancer education content in both XR-based virtual spaces and web environments. Moving forward, we will continue to develop more content and expand and link digital-based education to further strengthen the health management system for cancer patients."
