Gumi City, LG Unicharm's Ongoing Social Contribution Activities
Strengthening the Local Welfare Safety Net
Ongoing Community Engagement for Mutual Benefit
On April 27, Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province received a donation of 1,056 boxes of feminine hygiene products and baby diapers worth 40 million KRW from LG Unicharm Co., Ltd.
The donated items will be distributed to children’s welfare facilities, facilities for people with disabilities, family centers, and to women and children from vulnerable groups in each town, township, and district.
This donation is part of the company’s ongoing social contribution activities. Since signing a sponsorship agreement for the 'Share Pad' initiative with Gumi City in July 2023, LG Unicharm Co., Ltd. has provided a total of 7,847 boxes of feminine hygiene products and baby diapers (worth approximately 490 million KRW) over seven separate occasions—three times in 2023, twice in 2024, and twice in 2025.
Kim Dongwook, Head of Production at LG Unicharm Co., Ltd., stated, “We will continue to share so that children, adolescents, and women in the region can maintain healthy daily lives.”
Lee Junghwa, Welfare Policy Division Chief, commented, “Ongoing corporate participation makes the local welfare safety net even stronger,” adding, “We will make sure the donated items reach those who need them most.”
