[Weather for Tomorrow] Rain Until the 28th...Chilly Temperatures Between 13 and 23 Degrees
Rain is expected to continue in the metropolitan area and other central regions until April 28, 2026.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration as of 5 p.m. on April 27, 2026, rain is currently falling mainly in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi Province and the northeastern part of South Chungcheong Province. This rain is expected to gradually expand across all central regions under the influence of a trough passing to the north.
In the Chungcheong region, rain will continue until early morning on April 28, except for northern North Chungcheong Province. For the metropolitan area and northern North Chungcheong, rain is expected to persist until the afternoon, while in Gangwon Province, rain will fall until the evening except for the southern East Sea coast. The southern East Sea coast of Gangwon will also see rain between the afternoon and evening.
In particular, there is a possibility of snow instead of rain on high mountain areas above 1,500 meters in northern Gangwon. Expected precipitation amounts are 5–30 mm for the metropolitan area and the five West Sea islands, and 5–20 mm for inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon. The East Sea coast of Gangwon, northern South Chungcheong, and central and northern North Chungcheong can expect 5–10 mm, while Daejeon, Sejong, southern South Chungcheong, southern North Chungcheong, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo will see less than 5 mm of rain.
This rainfall is expected to ease the currently dry atmosphere to some extent. At present, a dry weather advisory has been issued for the central regions, northern North Jeolla, and parts of North Gyeongsang. As the rain continues, the dry weather advisory is expected to be gradually lifted, especially in the central regions.
However, during the night, hailstones less than 5 mm in diameter may fall in the metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and northern Chungcheong, so precautions should be taken to protect crops.
Along with the rain, temperatures will also drop. As cold air flows in after the trough passes, daytime temperatures will be somewhat lower than the seasonal average.
Morning lows will range from 9 to 14 degrees Celsius, similar to the seasonal average, but daytime highs will only reach 13 to 23 degrees. The forecasted temperatures for major cities are: Seoul 12–17 degrees, Incheon 11–16 degrees, Daejeon 12–19 degrees, Gwangju 12–18 degrees, Daegu 13–22 degrees, Ulsan 13–23 degrees, and Busan 14–22 degrees.
Winds are also expected to be strong. In most regions nationwide, gusts of about 55 km/h are expected, with mountain areas potentially experiencing gusts as strong as 70 km/h.

Maritime conditions will also be unfavorable. Wave heights are expected to reach 1.0–2.5 meters.
