LG Display to Invest 1.1 Trillion Won in OLED Infrastructure
LG Display announced on April 22 that it will invest a total of 1.106 trillion won in building an 'Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) New Technology Infrastructure.' The investment period will run from today until June 30, 2028.
LG Display stated, "The purpose of this investment is to create customer value through technological differentiation and to secure a leading position in future markets. We will continue to advance our OLED-focused business structure and solidify our technological leadership."
Meanwhile, LG Display achieved an operating profit of 517 billion won last year, driven by the advancement of its OLED-centered business structure. The company is expected to continue this profitable trend, having recorded approximately 150 billion won in operating profit in the first quarter of this year.
