Yeongcheon City is invigorating the local community by pursuing a multifaceted administrative approach, including win-win cooperation to revitalize the local economy, sharing activities for underprivileged groups, and environmental protection campaigns.
The city announced that on the 17th, 'Cafe Staco,' operated by the Wansan Tteurak Village Management Social Cooperative, and the agricultural company corporation Gojon signed a business agreement for local food supply.

This has been evaluated as establishing a 'local food win-win structure' by reducing intermediate distribution steps, thereby increasing freshness and securing a stable sales channel for local farms.
Staco has already received strong positive feedback for its signature pizza featuring Yeongcheon garlic, and with this agreement, the company plans to expand the use of local agricultural products to its salad menu as well.
The Yeongcheon Volunteer Center conducted a craft activity on the 18th with about 50 members of the 'Dodamdodam Family Volunteer Group,' utilizing discarded sock bands.
Participants made carnations and pot holders for Parents' Day out of sock bands, an industrial waste material, reaffirming the importance of environmental protection.
The volunteer group plans to continue various environmental cleanup activities, such as making EM mud balls and coastal plogging, through November.
Efforts to help neighbors in need have also continued.
On April 20, ahead of Buddha's Birthday, 100 bags of white rice (10kg each) were donated to Cheongtong-myeon.
This sharing activity, which has continued since 2022, will be delivered to vulnerable groups and senior centers in the area.
In Buk-an-myeon, a nameplate was presented to the newly participating business, 'Buk-an Impo Restaurant.'
As a result, there are now 11 'Warmth Stores' in Buk-an-myeon, which continue to provide meal vouchers and service coupons to disadvantaged residents.
The Hwanam-myeon Community Security Council held its second regular meeting on the 20th, reporting on first-quarter projects and discussing new specialized projects for the second quarter.
Notably, the council strengthened the public-private welfare network by appointing the youth association president and the female volunteer fire brigade leader as new members.
On the 17th, Sinnyeong-myeon conducted a wildfire prevention relay campaign in conjunction with a park golf tournament.
Taking into account the area's proximity to Palgongsan National Park, residents and tournament participants were reminded to refrain from illegal burning and to perform safety checks on wood boilers, raising awareness about forest resource protection.
