Starbucks Calls Young Performers: 'Starlight Live' Every Saturday
First Round of Open Recruitment Until April 19
For Young Artists Aged 19 to 39
Starbucks Korea announced on April 10 that it will hold its youth artist stage support program, 'Starlight Live,' every Saturday from this month through September.
The event, themed 'A Healing Journey of Coffee and Music,' will take place at four Starbucks locations every Saturday at 3 p.m.
On the 4th, young artist 'Shorushikgu' is performing the 'Starlight Live' concert at the Starbucks Yongin Gogi-dong Amusement Park branch. Provided by Starbucks Korea
View original imageOn April 4, at the Yongin Gogi-dong Resort branch, the group 'Shorusikgu' performed a stage centered around traditional Brazilian music known as 'Choro,' featuring a combination of clarinet, flute, percussion, and classical guitar. They reinterpreted Brazilian music with a Korean sensibility, receiving an enthusiastic response from customers.
This week's performance on April 11 will be held at the Jeonju Eco DT branch. The following performances will take place at the Yangsan Tongdosa branch on April 18 and at the Riverside Daeseong-ri DT branch on April 25.
On the last Saturday of every month at 6 p.m., a special performance program called 'Music Flowing Star Stage' will be held at the Starbucks 'Gyeongdong 1960' store, which is a remodeled old theater inside Gyeongdong Market. Additionally, starting in October this year, Starlight Live will continue at Starbucks stores nationwide, including in Seoul, Sejong, Yeosu, and Osan.
Starlight Live is open to young artists aged 19 to 39. Starbucks will publicly recruit and select performers. The first open recruitment for this year's artists runs until April 19, and the second round is scheduled for August.
