"Stay One Night in Sancheong!"... Now Is the Time for a Spring Trip
Customized Support Programs for Small-Scale Tourists
Receive Up to KRW 100,000 in Gift Certificates for Overnight Stays
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on April 2 that it is continuing to operate small-scale tourism incentive programs, such as "Stay One Night in Sancheong!"
This initiative is being carried out to attract overnight visitors as the full-fledged spring tourism season begins. In particular, it aims to revitalize the stagnant tourism industry and support the recovery of the local economy.
The program is open to individuals who are registered residents outside of Sancheong County. Groups of two or more who stay at least one night in Sancheong County are eligible to receive up to KRW 100,000 in Sancheong Love Gift Certificates.
The requirements include staying at a local accommodation for at least one night, dining at least once at a restaurant, and visiting a designated tourist attraction. The amount of support is based on total spending: KRW 50,000 in gift certificates for spending of KRW 100,000 or more, and KRW 100,000 in gift certificates for spending of KRW 200,000 or more.
Applicants must submit their incentive application at least two days before the start date of their trip. Trips taken without prior application are not eligible for support.
To improve convenience for tourists, Sancheong County has introduced an online application system based on Naver Forms this year.
Starting with this program, Sancheong County plans to launch various initiatives that encourage both longer stays and local spending, anticipating that major tourist destinations such as Hwangmaesan, Namsa Yedam Village, and Donguibogam Village will attract many spring visitors.
In addition, the county is operating a separate incentive program for group tourists arranged through travel agencies, offering support for same-day visitors as well.
