Hanyang Securities to Maintain Minimum Dividend of 1,600 Won and 30% Payout Ratio
Disclosure of Corporate Value Enhancement Plan
Hanyang Securities has decided to maintain a minimum dividend of 1,600 won per common share or a dividend payout ratio of 30%.
According to Hanyang Securities on March 27, the company announced this plan in its “Corporate Value Enhancement (Value-Up) Plan” disclosure the previous day. The dividend confirmed at the shareholders' meeting held the day before is 1,600 won per common share, representing an increase of 67.9% compared to the previous year. The dividend payout ratio reached 37%, while the dividend yield was 6.9%.
In line with this trend of increasing dividends, Hanyang Securities set a mid- to long-term dividend policy goal of maintaining at least 1,600 won per common share or a 30% payout ratio. Through this, the company plans to continue a sustainable and predictable shareholder return policy.
Hanyang Securities also plans to pursue strategies to diversify its revenue streams and maximize capital efficiency. The company will actively seek out manpower-based “flow businesses” that generate stable earnings with minimal use of its own capital, and will establish a business structure focused on brokerage and commission income to build a revenue base resilient to market volatility.
CEO Kim Byungchul stated, “Our core management objective is to increase capital efficiency and reduce earnings volatility, while achieving an annual return on equity (ROE) of over 10%,” adding, “We will continue our shareholder return policy based on a stable earnings foundation to enhance shareholder value.” He further emphasized, “We aim to become a ‘strong mid-sized securities firm’ through diversified revenue streams and transparent, responsible management.”
