The "Gyoeoseon Art-Plot" project leverages the improved accessibility gained from the reopening of the Gyoeoseon rail line to connect the art resources of the Jangheung area into a single travel route. With this selection, the city has secured 150 million won in provincial funding and plans to implement a project with a total budget of 165 million won.
The main initiatives are structured around three programs.
First, the Art-Plot Log is a participatory program in which visitors receive a kit at Ilyeong Station and explore various art hubs, combining collectible elements along the way. At the final stage of the journey, participants can engrave a mark to complete their own unique art collectible.
Additionally, the Art-Plot Log Tour is a premium program that offers guided tours of key locations with a professional commentator. Film cameras will be available for rent, and travel journals created by participating tourists will be displayed at major tourist hubs such as Ilyeong Station. This will help establish a unique tourism asset for Yangju City.
The Art-Plot Partners initiative is a collaborative project aimed at standardizing service quality at major tourist hubs. By distributing customized manuals and providing professional hygiene and quarantine services, the program aims to build a sustainable tourism ecosystem where visitors can feel safe and welcome.
Yangju City plans to use this project to connect its dispersed art resources and develop the Jangheung area into a hub for the arts. The goal is to shift from short-term visits to longer stays, thereby creating a foundation for revitalizing local tourism.

Hong Miyeong, Director of Culture and Tourism, commented, "This selection is a recognition of the competitiveness of our model, which combines the Gyoeoseon with Yangju’s art infrastructure. We will develop Ilyeong Station into the gateway for arts tourism in northern Gyeonggi and promote the artistic value of Jangheung in Yangju far and wide."
