[Click e-Stock] "Uangel Expected to Benefit from Participation in Government 6G Standardization Projects"
On March 25, independent research firm Value Finder provided a positive assessment of Uangel, highlighting its outlook for expanding profitability through full-scale performance improvement and its participation in government-led national projects for 6G infrastructure.
Founded in 1999, Uangel is a company specializing in 5G mobile network solutions and eSIM technology, and was listed on the KOSPI market in 2003. The company focuses on the development of core network solutions including 5G. In 2025, Uangel is expected to achieve sales of 61.6 billion won and operating profit of 3.4 billion won, representing year-on-year growth of 16% and 329%, respectively. Profitability improved due to operating leverage from increased sales, and the company is forecast to deliver positive results again this year as the 6G market emerges.
Lee Chungheon, a researcher at Value Finder, stated, "Recently, interest in the industry has been rising as global big tech companies and governments around the world proactively invest for the commercialization of 6G. Nvidia is participating in the 6G Global Alliance to promote the integration of telecommunications infrastructure and AI, while Qualcomm has announced plans to lead the 6G market through cooperation with Korea." The government is also increasing its investment to strengthen research and development on core 6G technologies and to enhance international standards competitiveness.
Researcher Lee further analyzed, "Uangel, as a company that has been developing and supplying telecommunications solutions for over 20 years, has a proven track record of responding to infrastructure upgrades related to the transition to 5G. Currently, the company is involved in government-led national projects for 6G infrastructure, including the development of eSBA (evolved Service-Based Architecture) and ISAC (Integrated Sensing and Communication) standards in collaboration with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute of Korea, which demonstrates its technological capabilities."
