Anseong City Launches Student-Exclusive "An-nyoung (YOUNG) Bus" for Middle and High School Commuters
Anseong City and Anseong Office of Education Collaborate
Customized School Commute Support for Students in Public Transportation-Disadvantaged Areas
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on March 24 that it will begin full-scale operation of the student-exclusive school bus, "An-nyoung (YOUNG) Bus," starting March 30, to create a safe and convenient commuting environment for middle and high school students in areas with limited access to public transportation.

This initiative is a collaborative project between Anseong City and the Anseong Office of Education in Gyeonggi Province, targeting middle and high school students living in areas with insufficient public transportation. A total of seven buses will run on five routes, allowing students from thirteen schools to use the service together.
In particular, by recognizing that class dismissal times vary by school and day of the week, the city established a customized operation system with flexible afternoon schedules to meet actual commuting demand. This approach is expected to reduce students' waiting times and provide a more efficient commuting environment.
The fare will be the same as the youth fare for Anseong City’s regular city buses, and transfer discounts will also apply. However, students must use transportation cards registered in their own names, and cards under guardians’ names are not permitted. The buses will operate only on weekdays and will not run on weekends, public holidays, or during school breaks. For operational stability, a trial period will be conducted through May, after which some adjustments to schedules and routes will be made for the official launch in June.
The main routes will cover areas such as Gongdo and Jinsari, Juksan and Iljuk, and central Anseong City, with stops and termini at key schools including Juksan High School, Iljuk High School, Doowon Technical High School, and Gaon High School.
Information on the bus operation can be found through the Gyeonggi Bus Information System, Kakao Map, and Naver Map apps. Detailed information will also be promoted via the Anseong City Hall website, blog, and each school’s notification app.
