Lee Yunsik, the head of the Hyanggyo, served as the chief officiant, with Lee Chunggi and Jung Wook participating as the second and third officiants, respectively, offering their respects. In addition, senior Confucian scholars played key roles such as ritual officiants and chief celebrants, further elevating the dignity of the ceremony.
The Seokjeon Daesae Ceremony, designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 1986, is a representative Confucian ritual held annually in spring (on the first Jeong day of the second lunar month) and autumn (on the first Jeong day of the eighth lunar month) at Hyanggyo and Sungkyunkwan throughout the country. It has become a symbolic event that not only involves formal ceremonies but also succeeds in passing down Confucian values and traditions.
