"2026 Cheongdo County Governor's Cup Sport-Specific Competition" Concludes Successfully
The joint opening ceremony for the "2026 Cheongdo County Governor's Cup Sport-Specific Competition," hosted by the Cheongdo County Sports Council (President Cha Yongdae) and organized by affiliated sports associations, was held at the indoor gymnasium of the Cheongdo National Sports Center on March 21 and concluded successfully on March 22.
Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County, members of Cheongdo County Council, heads of various organizations and institutions, athletes, and over 300 attendees graced the event. At each sports venue, more than 1,000 athletes competed fiercely in their respective disciplines.
This year's competition brought together 11 sports—football, futsal, jokgu, tennis, badminton, table tennis, golf, park golf, baseball, gateball, and bowling—for a joint opening ceremony. The event served as a meaningful occasion to promote friendship and camaraderie among the affiliated sports associations, as well as to foster communication, unity, and health among county residents.
