Chosun University Central Library Selected for "University Library Specialization Support Project"

View original imageChosun University announced on March 16 that its Central Library has been selected as the operating institution for the "2026 University Library Specialization Support Project," organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS).
The "University Library Specialization Support Project" aims to discover specialized programs and promote the autonomous development of university libraries in order to strengthen their role in future education and research innovation.
With this selection, Chosun University Central Library will receive a project fund of 20 million won and operate specialized library programs for international students from next month through November.
The university plans to actively support the learning and research activities of international students, building on the "Global Bookscape Lounge," an exclusive space for international students established on the 5th floor of the Central Library through the 2025 University Innovation Support Project.
In addition, the university will run a variety of customized programs, including reading discussion programs, academic information utilization training, cultural exchange programs, and the development of international student curators, to foster a library-centered global learning community.
Through these efforts, the university expects to help international students adapt academically, expand interaction with domestic students, and contribute to building an internationalized environment on campus.

Kim Jonggu, Director of the Library, stated, "Through this project, we will operate diverse programs so that international students can make more comfortable use of the library and receive practical support for their studies and research. We will continue to expand the role of the university library as a global learning support platform."
