Jung-gu Council Chairman Unanimously Voted No Confidence for Damaging Council's Honor in Daegu
On March 16, the Daegu Jung-gu Council passed a vote of no confidence against Chairman Kim Donghyun during the 1st plenary session of its 311th extraordinary meeting.
This vote of no confidence was proposed on the grounds that Chairman Kim Donghyun had damaged the honor of the council by being involved in a damages lawsuit related to the family of a Jung-gu Office employee, which was reported in the media. This conduct was deemed a violation of the duty to maintain dignity as stipulated in Article 44, Paragraph 2 of the Local Autonomy Act.

This was also cited as a reason for tabling the vote of no confidence.
As a result of the plenary session vote, all five council members present voted in favor, unanimously passing the vote of no confidence. Accordingly, the Daegu Jung-gu Council will be operated under the acting chairmanship of Vice Chairman Kim Hyorin for the time being.
