Son Heungmin's team, Los Angeles FC (LAFC), extended their winning streak to four consecutive victories at the start of the Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season. They also continued their run of four straight matches without conceding a goal.
On March 15 (Korea time), LAFC defeated St. Louis 2-0 in their 4th round home match of the 2026 MLS regular season at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, USA. Midfielder Mathieu Choinière led LAFC to the win by scoring both goals in the second half.

In the league this season, Son has provided three assists in four matches but has yet to score a goal. Including the CONCACAF Champions Cup, he has recorded one goal and seven assists this season.
