Gyeonggi Province to Host Various Career Connection Events for Career Interruption Prevention Week
Gyeonggi Province to Launch "Career Interruption Prevention Week" Starting March 16
A Variety of Events Including Talk Concerts and Job Fairs to Be Held
Gyeonggi Province will mark the third week of March as "Career Interruption Prevention Week" and, together with local Women's New Employment Centers (Saeil Centers), will host a variety of events from March 16 to 22 to raise awareness about the importance of preventing career interruptions and to promote positive change in public perception.
This Career Interruption Prevention Week has been organized to broaden social awareness regarding the importance of preventing career interruptions and to actively promote related programs. During this period, Gyeonggi Province will offer a range of regionally tailored programs including talk concerts, seminars, information sessions for businesses, awareness campaigns, and integrated promotional booths.
The main event will be a talk concert focused on raising awareness about career interruption prevention, hosted by the Gyeonggi Regional Saeil Center. It will take place at 3:00 p.m. on March 16 at the Hanam Gam-il Public Complex Building. Held under the theme "A Pause Is Not the End. Stories of Our New Beginnings!", the event will feature a special lecture on prevention and promotional booths, and is open to all women with career experience and Gyeonggi residents.
Other key events include: ▲ an integrated career interruption prevention publicity booth at the Yeongtong Saeil Center and an awareness improvement campaign at both the Siheung Industrial Complex Saeil Center and Siheung Saeil Center, as well as the "Career Breaking & Career Connecting" event at the Anyang Saeil Center and the "Job-Seeker and Employer Meet-and-Greet Day" at the Icheon Saeil Center on March 19; ▲ an information session for companies about career interruption prevention support programs at the Goyang Saeil Center on March 20; ▲ and a pledge campaign for practical action at the Hwaseong Saeil Center on March 21.
Gyeonggi Province has continuously run prevention programs to help women maintain their careers and create workplaces where women can thrive, providing tailored services such as counseling, career planning, and workplace adaptation support for women with career experience and currently employed women. For companies, the province has offered HR, labor, and management consulting as well as support for improving workplace culture.
During Prevention Week, the province will focus on hosting career interruption prevention events for residents and businesses, and will continue to run a variety of programs to raise awareness through 14 Saeil Centers across the region even after the week concludes.
