Gyeonggi Province Offers 1 Million to 1.5 Million Won Living Scholarships for Low-Income Youths... Applications Open from the 16th
Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the "Gyeonggi Youth Living Scholarship," which provides annual scholarships of 1 million to 1.5 million won to economically disadvantaged youths in the province, until March 27.
The eligible recipients are 7,441 youths who are beneficiaries of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, members of legally recognized lower-income families, single-parent families under the law, and working youths currently enrolled in educational programs at lifelong educational institutions in the province. The living scholarship is supported by the lottery fund of the Ministry of Planning and Budget, with a total budget of 9.4 billion won allocated for this year.
Selected middle school students, determined by city and county-level reviews, will receive 1 million won, while high school students will be granted 1.5 million won. Payments will be made in two installments in April and September.
Applications can be submitted from March 16 to 27 through the Gyeonggi Civil Service 24 website (gg24.gg.go.kr).
For those who have difficulty applying online, applications can also be submitted in person at the local administrative welfare center corresponding to their residential address.
