This meeting was organized so that SEMAS, as the executing agency for micro-enterprise policies, could collect opinions from legal economic organizations such as KFME and other relevant micro-enterprise associations, and seek ways to cooperate on policy matters.
On this day, SEMAS representatives including Chairman In Taeyeon, as well as KFME Chairman Song Chiyoung and heads of industry-specific associations, shared current policy issues and on-site challenges facing micro-enterprises.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Song stated, "This is a meaningful occasion where SEMAS, the core agency for implementing micro-enterprise policy, and the KFME are working together to seek practical collaboration for the protection and growth of micro-enterprises. I hope today’s discussion will serve as the starting point for establishing a regular cooperation platform between our two organizations."
He further emphasized, "KFME and SEMAS need to work closely together so that the voices from the field—such as strengthening communication of policy information, advancing AI·AX transformation tailored to micro-enterprises, reinforcing the safety net for business closures, and alleviating financial burdens—can be reflected in policy."
At the meeting, representatives from micro-enterprise associations and organizations delivered major proposals, including: strengthening the system for delivering micro-enterprise policy information; expanding tailored AI·AX technologies for micro-enterprises; reinforcing the safety net for closed businesses; increasing management stability vouchers; boosting domestic demand; alleviating financial burdens and improving access to policy funds; and expanding the budget for Micro-Enterprise Week promotion projects.
In particular, participants highlighted the need to strengthen policy publicity and information delivery systems, as well as to provide practical support such as digital transformation assistance and expanded financial support, to ensure that policies can be felt directly at the field level.
In response, Chairman In stated, "Going forward, we will strengthen cooperation with on-site organizations and implement policies that protect livelihoods together with merchant associations. SEMAS will continue to communicate closely with micro-enterprise associations, reflect feedback from the field in policy, and expand support for digital transformation and competitiveness of micro-enterprises."
