A Total of 15 Items, Including Agenda Submitted by the Executive Branch, to Be Reviewed and Resolved
The Wando County Council in Jeollanam-do announced on March 5 that it will convene the 336th extraordinary session for a period of 10 days, from the 9th to the 18th.
During this session, a total of 15 items will be reviewed and resolved, including ordinance bills proposed by council members and agenda items submitted by the executive branch. The council will also appoint auditors for the 2025 fiscal year revenue and expenditure settlement, and will intensively discuss institutional improvements related to local issues.

View original imageIn particular, a proposal urging improvements to the Barrier-Free (BF) Certification System, jointly sponsored by Assembly member Ji-Min and eight other members, will be submitted to the plenary session. The council plans to call on the government and relevant agencies to implement effective reforms, aiming to address persistent issues raised in the field such as delays in the certification process and administrative burdens.
Standing committee activities will also be in full swing. The Council Operation Committee will review four items, including the “Wando County Council Legislative and Legal Advisor Operation Ordinance Bill,” while the Administrative and Autonomy Committee will deliberate on five items, including the “Wando County Middle-Aged Employment Support Ordinance Bill.”
Additionally, the Industrial and Construction Committee will examine a partial amendment ordinance bill on “Promotion of Local Construction Industry Revitalization in Wando County,” seeking ways to support the local construction sector.
Several agenda items directly related to the daily lives of county residents will also be reviewed. These include the “Wando County Korean Sign Language Promotion Support Ordinance Bill” proposed by Assembly member Heo Gunghee, the “Partial Amendment Ordinance Bill on Management and Operation of Wando County Marine Healing Park,” and the “Agreement on Private Consignment of Certified Seaweed Active Ingredient Production Facilities.”
Starting with this extraordinary session, the county council aims to lay an institutional foundation in various areas, including revitalizing the local economy, promoting tailored employment policies, and enhancing the professionalism of council operations.
Chairman Kim Yanghun emphasized, “The starting point of all legislative work is always the residents,” and added, “In this extraordinary session, we will seriously consider how each ordinance and agenda item will affect the lives of our residents and carry out our deliberations with a strong sense of responsibility.”
