All Five Gyeongnam Students in the Middle East Confirmed Safe... Provincial Office of Education Monitoring in Real Time
The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on March 5 that all five students from the province, currently staying in the Middle East where a war is ongoing between the United States and Israel and Iran, have been confirmed to be safe.
According to the provincial Office of Education, these students are elementary, middle, and high school students staying in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. Among them, two are siblings, and all are reported to be staying with their families.
The Office of Education urgently checked the whereabouts and safety of students from the province to prepare for any potential risks, after some who traveled abroad during the vacation were unable to return to school as scheduled due to the worsening local situation.
Currently, the office is maintaining an emergency contact system with the parents and schools of the students whose safety has been confirmed, monitoring the situation in real time.
The office plans to continue providing support until the students return home safely and resume their school life.
