Miryang City English Library to Offer 33 Free English Classes in the First Half of 2026
Applications open until March 9
Classes begin March 17, including 15 native-speaker courses
The Miryang City English Library in Gyeongnam announced on March 5 that it will run the "2026 First Half English Class Program" starting from March 17, aiming to enhance practical English skills required in the era of globalization.
This semester, a total of 33 classes will be offered, ranging from musical English for preschoolers to phonics classes for students at the basic level of English reading. All classes will be held once a week over a 9-week period, and there will be no tuition fees.
In particular, this year, the number of preschool and elementary programs has been significantly increased. Out of the 33 classes, 15 will be taught directly by three native-speaking instructors from Canada and the Philippines. Through this, the program is designed to help students gain confidence in English and naturally experience global cultures.
Additionally, to accommodate office workers and students who find it difficult to participate on weekdays, the weekend program has been strengthened. A total of 17 classes, including 15 for preschoolers and elementary students and 2 for adults, will be offered intensively on Saturdays and Sundays. Various unique experiential programs have also been prepared to help participants acquire practical language skills such as English speaking and reading.
Citizens wishing to participate can apply through the Miryang City English Library website or by visiting the library in person until March 9. Especially from this year, to provide equal opportunities to more citizens, the selection method has been changed from first-come, first-served to a lottery system.
