Gyeonggi Province Water Resources Headquarters Conducts Cleanup of Paldang Lake Waterfront Area on March 5
To mark the spring thaw season, the Gyeonggi Province Water Resources Headquarters carried out an environmental cleanup activity on March 5th in the Paldang Lake waterfront area, aiming to collect and remove waste that had accumulated during the winter months.
Employees from the Water Resources Headquarters and others participated in this initiative, conducting comprehensive cleanup efforts both on land and water.
The cleanup targeted three specific areas: Yongdam Waterfront Ecological Park in Yangseo-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun; the bicycle path near Sinwon Station; and the roadside near Mugapcheon in Chowol-eup, Gwangju City (Local Road No. 325).
In particular, in the Yongdam Waterfront Ecological Park section, three patrol boats were deployed to collect floating waste on the water. In total, 3 tons of waste accumulated over the winter were removed from the waterfront area, and the activity was also used to promote the importance of preserving the water quality of the Paldang Water Source.
