Hwahae Surpasses 1 Million MAU on Global Web Just One Year After Launch
Hwahae Global announced on March 5 that it has surpassed one million monthly active users (MAU) just over a year after the launch of its global web platform.
Hwahae has been increasing accessibility to K-beauty information by successively launching the English version of its global web in November 2024, followed by Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese versions. The global web offers key features such as category-based rankings and ingredient information, and provides 10 million user-generated reviews translated by a large language model (LLM).

The primary sources of traffic are the United States, Japan, China, Vietnam, and Canada, with these countries—where demand for K-beauty is high—accounting for over 82% of total visitors. The average number of product views per month is about 400,000, indicating that one in five visitors checks a product detail page, suggesting actual purchase consideration.
Going forward, Hwahae plans to introduce customized content based on country-specific search data collected from the global web, and will gradually enhance decision-support features that cover the entire process from review-based information search to product comparison and selection, to help global consumers make informed purchase decisions.
In addition, Hwahae aims to strengthen its role as a gateway for K-beauty brands with outstanding product quality to leverage Hwahae's overseas user pool, expand points of contact with potential consumers, and continuously grow in local markets.
