Keimyung University Women's Studies Research Institute and Suseong Women's Club Join Forces to Promote Gender Equality The Women's Studies Research Institute of Keimyung University and the Suseong Women's Club signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on February 27 at the Suseong Women's Club, aiming to expand social participation among local women and promote a culture of gender equality.
This agreement was established to create a gender equality ecosystem in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions by combining the university's academic expertise with the practical experience of a local women's organization.
The two institutions plan to collaborate in various areas, including the joint planning of educational programs for women, cooperation in research on gender equality policies and local issues, and co-hosting forums and cultural events.
Ra Hye-young, Director of Suseong Women's Club, stated, "We will create a structure in which field experience leads to research and policy." Choi Yoonkyung, Director of the Keimyung University Women's Studies Research Institute, emphasized, "By combining research outcomes and field experience, we will further strengthen the foundation for gender equality in the region."

This collaboration between the Keimyung University Women's Studies Research Institute, established in 2003, and Suseong Women's Club, the first women's vocational skills development institution established by a local government in Korea, is expected to become a new driving force to enhance the effectiveness of local women's policies.
