Seongsan-gu, Changwon Special City Conducts Safety Inspections of Public Sports Facilities Ahead of Thaw Season
Taking the Lead in Creating a Safe Environment for Everyday Sports Activities
Seongsan-gu in Changwon Special City, Gyeongsangnam-do is conducting safety inspections on convenience facilities for citizens, such as exercise equipment, pavilions, and benches, at 51 public sports facilities in the district before spring, when outdoor activities increase.

View original imageSeongsan-gu explained that the safety inspections, which have been carried out since February 23, are intended to prevent potential safety accidents that may occur due to ground changes caused by freezing and deformation of sports facilities, taking into account the seasonal characteristics of the transition from winter to spring.
Focusing on the Culture and Hygiene Division of the district office, Seongsan-gu plans to form inspection teams in eight neighborhoods to check whether any parts are missing from exercise equipment at sports facilities in community playgrounds and whether their foundations are securely fixed, as well as to inspect the fastening condition of the wood and the degree of paint deterioration on pavilions and benches.
