The Guri Station Transfer Center is a core transportation infrastructure project of Guri City that is being developed by utilizing the space beneath the Gyeongui-Jungang Line railway adjacent to Guri Station on Subway Line 8, which opened in August 2024. It is planned to enable smooth transfer connections among various modes of public transportation, including subways, buses, and taxis.
Baek Kyunghyun, mayor of Guri, stated, "The Guri Station Transfer Center is an important piece of infrastructure that will make citizens' daily travel more convenient and help Guri City leap forward as a hub for wide-area transportation in the northeastern part of the Seoul metropolitan area," and added, "Please manage safety thoroughly with top priority until the completion of construction and do your utmost to minimize inconvenience for citizens."

Meanwhile, Guri City plans to establish transfer support facilities such as bus stops, taxi stands, and bicycle storage facilities by March 2026 and to actively improve transfer convenience for public transportation users.
