Hampyeong County Activates Emergency Medical System for Lunar New Year to Minimize Service Gaps
Seventeen Clinics, Hospitals, and Public Health Institutions Designated
Minimizing Treatment Gaps by Staying Open During the Holiday Period
Hampyeong-gun Public Health Center in South Jeolla Province announced on the 12th that, for the Lunar New Year holiday, it will fully activate an emergency medical treatment system to minimize gaps in medical services during the holiday period so that local residents and returning visitors can spend a safe holiday.
To prepare for possible emergency patients during the Lunar New Year holiday period, the county will operate the emergency room of Hampyeong Seongsim Hospital, the on-call medical institution in the jurisdiction, 24 hours a day. In addition, it plans to minimize treatment gaps by designating 12 clinics and hospitals, 12 pharmacies, and 15 public health institutions that will remain open during the holiday.
Hampyeong-gun Public Health Center will operate an “Emergency Medical Countermeasures Situation Room” and maintain a 24-hour emergency response system by providing guidance on on-call medical institutions and pharmacies, checking the maintenance of the treatment system, and monitoring situations in preparation for the occurrence of emergency patients.
Information on medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the Lunar New Year holiday can be found on the Central Emergency Medical Center website and the Hampyeong-gun website, and in the event of an emergency patient, guidance is available through 119 (Emergency Situation Management Center).
