Dongducheon City Selected as a Top-Rated Institution in the 2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Information Disclosure
Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyeongdeok) announced on the 11th that it has been selected as a top-rated institution in the "2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Information Disclosure" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Comprehensive Evaluation of Information Disclosure is conducted annually to examine how public institutions operate their information disclosure systems, enhance the reliability of the制度, and strengthen mandatory disclosure obligations. Evaluation results are divided into four grades: top, excellent, average, and poor.
The 2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Information Disclosure covered 561 institutions nationwide, including central government agencies, and comprehensively assessed their performance in operating information disclosure across five areas, including proactive information disclosure, processing of disclosure requests, and disclosure of original documents.
Dongducheon City received a score of 98.04 and was rated in the top grade, which is 9.69 points higher than the average score of 88.35 for basic local governments in the city category.
In particular, the city achieved perfect scores in six evaluation indicators, including the number of registered items for proactive information disclosure, the completeness of original information, and the appropriateness of handling information disclosure requests. It also received no deductions in indicators related to potential penalty factors, such as compliance with the Information Disclosure Act, thereby earning recognition for its overall excellence in operating its information disclosure system.
