The work focused on the area of slope loss behind the upper station and on sections of the trail where hazardous exposed rock masses were identified.
This reinforcement project was carried out preemptively following an in-depth internal safety inspection of the trail slopes in July last year, which concluded that additional rockfall protection nets and slope maintenance were needed. A total project budget of 1.3 billion won (700 million won in national funds and 600 million won in city funds) has been invested to conduct intensive maintenance work.
With the maintenance work completed before the Lunar New Year holiday, the safety of citizens using the cable car during the festive period is expected to be further enhanced.
