Korea Investment Management ACE U.S. SMR Nuclear Power TOP10 ETF Sees Retail Net Buying Top 20 Billion Won
Achieved in Just Six Trading Days
Net Assets Also Approaching 30 Billion Won
Korea Investment Management announced on the 11th that net purchases by retail investors flowing into the ACE U.S. SMR Nuclear Power TOP10 Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) have exceeded 20 billion won.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the previous day, the ACE U.S. SMR Nuclear Power TOP10 ETF recorded 20.1 billion won in net purchases by individual investors. This means that net purchases by individuals surpassed 20 billion won in just six trading days since its listing on the 3rd. Along with strong individual net buying, the fund's net asset value is also increasing rapidly. As of the previous day, the ETF's net assets stood at 29.2 billion won, approaching 30 billion won.
Among SMR (Small Modular Reactor) ETFs listed in Korea, it is also attracting the highest level of investor interest. During the six trading days since the ACE U.S. SMR Nuclear Power TOP10 ETF was listed, retail investors made net purchases of this ETF on every single trading day without exception. Among the six SMR ETFs listed in Korea, the ACE ETF was the only product that did not record any net selling by individual investors during this period, and it also showed the largest net buying volume.
The investment appeal of the ACE U.S. SMR Nuclear Power TOP10 ETF lies in its focused exposure to core SMR areas. Approximately 80% of the ETF's portfolio consists of SMR design companies and fuel companies that are essential in the commercialization process of SMRs. This represents the highest allocation to SMR design and fuel companies among SMR-related ETFs listed in Korea.
Major holdings include Nuscale Power, Oklo, Cameco, and Centrus Energy A. Nuscale Power and Oklo, both SMR design companies, are each included at around the 20% level, while Cameco and Centrus Energy, both SMR fuel companies, are each weighted at around 15%.
Nam Yongsoo, Head of ETF Management at Korea Investment Management, said, "In the age of artificial intelligence (AI), SMRs are an indispensable industry," adding, "The U.S. government is also showing strong interest, so we expect policy funds and capital expenditures to continue to flow into the SMR industry in the United States."
