It strictly evaluates how faithfully elected public officials have fulfilled their campaign pledges, which are promises made to voters, and whether they have secured public interest and accountability in the policy implementation process.
As a two-term member of the 9th Goyang City Council, Assemblyman Song has been recognized for simultaneously exercising sharp oversight over overall municipal administration and presenting practical alternatives, thereby elevating the status of the local council. The screening committee stated the reason for his selection, saying, "Assemblyman Song stood out for going beyond simple administrative oversight and substantially enhancing voters' rights and interests through legislative activities based on data and research."
Assemblyman Song Gyugeun said, "The rights and choices of voters must be proven by results, and the role of local councils is to translate the mandate of citizens into concrete policy outcomes," adding, "I will continue my legislative activities based on the substantive fulfillment of pledges and the effectiveness of policies."
