S-Oil Ranks No. 1 in Refining for 10 Consecutive Years in "Korea’s Most Admired Companies"
Top Marks in Innovation, Customer Value, and Brand Credibility
S-Oil Corporation announced on the 10th that it has been ranked No. 1 in the refining industry category for the 10th consecutive year in the "2026 Korea’s Most Admired Companies" survey, organized by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC).
"Korea’s Most Admired Companies" evaluates companies’ sustainable competitiveness by measuring six core values, including innovation capability, customer value, and image value, through surveys and comprehensive assessments of analysts, industry insiders, and consumers. S-Oil Corporation received high marks across the board for its continuous innovation efforts, high-quality products and services, customer-centric management, and overall brand credibility and preference.
S-Oil Corporation is pursuing sustainable growth from a long-term perspective, even amid the rapidly changing energy market environment. Along with expanding its petrochemical business, the company is continuing to invest in new energy sectors such as hydrogen, and is also expanding eco-friendly businesses, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies. In particular, through the Shaheen project, which is regarded as the largest investment in the domestic petrochemical industry, the company is accelerating efforts to secure future growth engines by converting crude oil into high value-added petrochemical products.
Customer-centric management is also a core strategy of S-Oil Corporation. Under the philosophy that "customers are the reason for the company’s existence," it operates the Bonus Card, which offers industry-leading point accumulation benefits; the "MY S-OIL" app, which supports electronic receipts that allow users to accumulate carbon-neutrality points and provides "Quick Refueling" services; and the "Trust-Filled Gas Station" program, which guarantees genuine products and accurate quantities. In addition, the company has introduced new eco-friendly station signage using environmentally friendly materials and lighting, thereby strengthening trust-based brand experiences.
S-Oil Corporation is also committed to ESG management that encompasses the environment, society, and stakeholders. Based on three core principles of effectiveness, timeliness, and beneficiary-oriented support, the company has continuously carried out four major "Guardian" social contribution programs covering underprivileged neighbors, local communities, heroes, and the environment, and has donated a cumulative total of 159.5 billion won to date. Since 2020, it has also been operating the "Fueling Assistance Service for the Mobility-Disadvantaged" at more than 700 self-service stations nationwide, supporting people with disabilities, pregnant women, and those with temporary injuries. On the strength of these efforts, S-Oil Corporation has been included for 15 consecutive years in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index, a global ESG evaluation benchmark, becoming the first Asian refiner to achieve this.
